American Medical Student Association

(AMSA)

With nearly 60,000 members, AMSA is the largest independent national organization of medical students. Students will find many opportunities to get involved andlearn about important healthcare issues at the local, regional, and

national levels. AMSA offers an eye-opening experience to the many career paths and possibilities available to physicians-in-training. If you are passionate about a specific interest in health or want to learn about all sorts of health-related topics, you’ll find a place in AMSA.

Events sponsored by AMSA include educational seminars, socials, lobbying trips, and the annual conference. Students also have the chance to participate in national AMSA task forces, including Action Committees on Medical Education, Health Policy, Community and Public Health, Advocacy and Minority Affairs, Global Health, and Legislative Affairs.
