SLIM Committee

SLIM stands for Systems, Leadership, Integration, and Management and aims to expose Columbia medical students to the broader issues affecting the delivery of effective and appropriate health care globally, including access, quality, safety, cost, and payments. The SLIM Committee is a student-led working group with a direct line to the Fundamentals in Clinical Medicine course directors in order to improve the medical school curriculum.

The SLIM Committee also hosts events and speakers to broaden the worldview of students and connect them with residents at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as a way to promote quality improvement projects.
