New Student Orientation

P&S New Student Orientation is a 5 day program in mid-August, designed to facilitate the academic and personal transition of new medical students into life at P&S. During the program, new medical students participate in a variety of activities, including presentations on university resources, academic information, social activities and more. There are intentional opportunities for students to have meaningful interactions with faculty, staff, and current students. New Student Orientation welcomes new medical students and their families to Columbia, and assists them in becoming active members of the community.

Club Fair

In the beginning of the fall semester, all registered clubs and organizations under P&S come together to meet and greet with new P&S medical students and introduce them to the assortment of activities the P&S Club provides. Everyone is encouraged to get involved during their time here, as it supports academic, social, and professional growth as a medical student. Our activities range from: Advocacy, Community Service & Public Awareness, Arts, Literature & Entertainment, Cultural & Spiritual, Academic & Professional Associations, Service Learning, Social & Recreational, and Specialty Interest Groups. The fair is open to the entire CUMC community and usually takes place the last Monday of August after medical student classes begin.
